Love, in the Name of Christ, embraced Diana in many ways.
Diana was running from her past, and when she came to our area she was
pregnant. In fact, she was within hours of going into labor.
We didn’t know Diana’s past, but we did know that she needed help.
Church volunteers provided a crib and a generous number of baby essentials.
We were able to arrange a prenatal visit for her and arrange for her hospitalization.
Hospital personnel provided some help with formula and diapers, various connections were made with
area agencies who could assist with basic needs, and when her new baby arrived
and needed medication, a partner church stepped in the gap and provided funds
for the necessary prescription.
Although Diana is still far from independent, many people who
cared were there for her at a crucial time in her life, and she expressed
sincere gratitude for the very practical help she received from those who took
time to show her love, in the Name of Christ. |
