When everything seems to be going wrong in your
life, it makes a difference if just one person
is willing to listen. Peggy felt like her life was falling
apart. She was the victim of past spousal abuse
and was suffering from loneliness and lack of
support. Her part-time job did not provide enough
income to cover her needs,
Someone noticed! Peggy’s coworker called Love in the Name
of Christ. Volunteers brought her a bed, and they
became aware that she had almost nothing else in
her home. She was in need of the most basic of
things—a table and chairs, a chair or sofa—and
she had no food. Peggy was given several food boxes and
some used furniture. Arrangements were made for
a pastor to call on her, and a referral was made
to an agency for additional help. Love was offered in the Name of Christ. |
